5e Forum sur les personnes d'ascendance africaine

La cinquième session de l’Instance permanente sur les personnes d’ascendance africaine se tiendra au Palais des Nations à Genève, en Suisse, du 14 au 17 avril 2026, sur le thème : « Renforcer les droits humains des personnes d’ascendance africaine dans le cadre de la deuxième Décennie internationale des personnes d’ascendance africaine ».

Les débats de cette année porteront sur la justice réparatrice, notamment par la restitution des biens culturels ; la situation des droits humains des jeunes d’ascendance africaine ; et le 25e anniversaire de la Déclaration et du Programme d’action de Durban, comme une occasion de réfléchir à la manière de traduire les engagements existants en matière de droits humains en actions concrètes.

The fifth session of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 14 to 17 April 2026, under the theme: Expanding the human rights of people of African descent under the Second International Decade for People of African Descent.

This year's discussions will examine reparatory justice, through the return of cultural artefacts; the human rights situation of youth of African descent; and the 25th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action as a moment to reflect on turning existing human rights commitments into concrete action.
