Uniting elements under Es Devlin’s artistic vision

Artistic Director Es Devlin places materials to the fore at Homo Faber 2026, celebrating their elemental origins and the inspiration they bring to the artisans who transform them. Some of the 15 immersive installations, Devlin’s shining vision pays homage to organic materials born of sunlight, soil and water, compelling visitors to witness how these natural elements inspire and inform makers, as part of a captivating dialogue with light.

Exploring new worlds with wings, inspired by Venice at Homo Faber 2026

Glass artist Charlie Larouche-Potvin trained in Murano and explores new ways to engage the material peculiarities of glass through traditional Venetian forms, exhibited as part of An Infinite Birdsong, a room inspired by Venetian architecture. At Homo Faber 2026, he presents a triptych that unveils a futuristic narrative of exploration: birds as pilots of a nest-like spaceship, fuelled by tradition and history, in search of new worlds.
