A stop at Khor Virap ⛰️⛪

On our way to Yerevan, we visited the breathtaking Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia's most iconic landmarks.

Located near the Turkish border, the monastery offers spectacular views of Mount Ararat and holds great historical and spiritual significance. It was the perfect opportunity to learn more about Armenia's rich cultural heritage before continuing our journey to the capital.

Last moments in Yerevan 🇦🇲

Before heading home, we're making the most of our final hours in Yerevan.

It's a chance to reflect on an incredible week, enjoy the atmosphere of Armenia's vibrant capital, and spend a little more time together before saying goodbye. While the project may be coming to an end, the friendships and memories we've created will stay with us for a long time.

CivilNet – Independent journalism in action 🎙️

Today we had the opportunity to visit CivilNet, one of Armenia's leading independent media platforms.

We gained valuable insights into the work of professional journalists, discussed the importance of independent media, and learned about the challenges of reporting in a complex regional environment. The visit perfectly complemented our project's focus on media literacy, critical thinking, and responsible journalism.

One last surprise... 🧳😅

Plot twist: We made it home... but our luggage decided to stay a little longer in Yerevan! 🇦🇲

Looks like our suitcases weren't quite ready to say goodbye to Armenia. We're now waiting for them to catch the next flight and join us in the coming days.

At least they'll have a few more stories to tell when they arrive! 😉

As our week together at the Camp House comes to an end, we are spending our last evening around the campfire. 🔥

It is a moment to reflect on the experiences we have shared, the friendships we have built, and the memories we will take home with us. From workshops and discussions to cultural exchange and adventures across Armenia, this project has brought us together in so many meaningful ways.

Tonight, we simply enjoy each other's company, share stories, sing songs, and celebrate an unforgettable week. ❤️🇦🇲🇨🇭

🎭 From Theory to Practice

After learning about narratives in the morning, it was time to put theory into practice. 💡

During an interactive simulation, participants represented different states and international organisations. 🌍 Each delegation had its own interests, priorities, and communication strategy. Their challenge was to develop and present narratives while reacting to the positions of the other actors. 🤝

The exercise demonstrated how the same events can be interpreted in very different ways depending on perspective, interests, and objectives. It was a dynamic and engaging way to strengthen critical thinking, negotiation skills, and media literacy. 🧠💬

How are national narratives created? 🤔 How do they evolve over time? And why do they matter today?

These questions were at the centre of today's lecture by a lecturer from Yerevan State University. Participants explored the historical development of narratives in Armenia and discussed how history, identity, and collective memory continue to shape public discourse. 🇦🇲

The lecture provided an important academic perspective that will help participants better understand the role narratives play in politics, media, and international relations. 🌍🗣️

Today, we had the honour of welcoming a delegation from the EU 🇪🇺Mission in Armenia 🇦🇲(EUMA). During an engaging presentation, participants learned about the mission's mandate, its role in monitoring the situation on the ground, and the daily work carried out by its members.

The session provided valuable first-hand insights into the importance of dialogue, observation, and confidence-building in an international context. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of how international missions contribute to stability and cooperation.

A sincere thank you to the EUMA delegation for taking the time to share their expertise and experiences with our group.
