What a wonderful day we had yesterday evening.

Our fundraising event was a great success, with many special guests in attendance and an outstanding performance by the famous Jalimansa K. Suso. Everyone danced, enjoyed delicious food and celebrated together with the Gambian community and friends of The Gambia in Switzerland.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped make the event unforgettable. Together, we made it a beautiful and successful occasion. See you all next year.

Come and enjoy the magical sounds of the traditional Kora and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of The Gambia.

This fundraising cultural event is organised by The Gambia Humanitarian Organisation Basel (GamHOB), a humanitarian organisation based in Basel, Switzerland. All profits from the event will be used to support and sponsor community development projects in The Gambia, including initiatives in Health, Education, Agriculture support for the less privileged and vulnerable communities.

Your participation will not only celebrate Gambian culture but also contribute to meaningful humanitarian projects back home.

The Gambia Humanitarian Organisation in Basel ( GamHob ) proudly hosted this year’s Gambia Swiss Congress, the official umbrella body representing all Gambian organisations across Switzerland.

The congress brought together Gambian organisation representatives from different cantons to strengthen unity, promote collaboration, and discuss key issues affecting Gambians living in Switzerland and back home in The Gambia.

The successful hosting of the congress by the Gambia Humanitarian Organisation in Basel reflects their strong commitment to community service, unity, and development both in Switzerland and in The Gambia.
