Invitation to the our conference about
Save the date! 🕘 20. September
Green Colonialism - Lithium Mining in Zimbabwe🌍

We're thrilled to have PowerShift e.V. join us at this year’s conference! 💥

With their powerful mix of research and advocacy, PowerShift is pushing for fair and sustainable raw material policies in Germany and the EU. They’re on the frontlines of demanding strong supply chain laws that hold corporations accountable for human rights and environmental harm. ✊🏽⚖️

Together with partners from the Global South and across Europe, they expose the dark side of mining — showing how the so-called “green” transition too often fuels exploitation and destruction.

We’re especially excited to welcome Vanessa Fischer, representing PowerShift — she’ll be presenting on the matter of "Just raw material transition. A civil society response to green colonialism" and joining the panel to share critical insights on raw material justice and corporate accountability. 🎤

Together with the Centre for Natural Resource Governance (CNRG), KEESA ADR has conducted research on the social and environmental impacts of lithium mining in Zimbabwe – focusing on local communities, land rights, and gender dynamics.
The report reveals: under the guise of a “green energy transition,” new forms of extraction and exploitation are emerging – Green Colonialism.
