Today, we celebrate the Day of the Tree! We are proud to share that our organization, IPDD ASBL, has been working tirelessly to reforest and protect the environment in our community, particularly in RUMANGABO, Rutshuru Territory, and Nyiragongo. We have planted numerous trees and are committed to continuing this important work.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated members and partners for their unwavering support. We also invite other organizations to join us in our efforts to promote sustainable development and combat climate change. Together, we can make a difference!

Today, our team at IPDD asbl came together to reflect on the progress we've made this year and plan for the future! It was a productive meeting with our members, and we're grateful for the opportunity to assess our impact and strengthen our community.

We also want to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall (who passed away in the last week), a true champion of wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Her tireless advocacy and groundbreaking research have inspired countless individuals to take action and make a difference. Dr. Goodall's work with chimpanzees has not only expanded our understanding of these intelligent creatures but also highlighted the importance of preserving our planet's biodiversity.

Through her iconic Roots & Shoots program, Dr. Goodall has empowered young people around the world to become compassionate leaders and stewards of the environment. Her legacy serves as a reminder that every individual can make a positive impact, no matter how small they may feel.
