SUMMER YOUTH CAMP 2026 ✨

"InsPYAred For Change: Youth In Action"

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Dilag proudly joined the 3‑Day Summer Youth Camp, organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office of Tabuk and held at Kapanikian, Pinukpuk, Kalinga, last May 28–30, 2026.

This empowering camp brought together young leaders to learn, connect, and take action for positive change. Representing SK Dilag were:

- Jay Mar Patang -i
- Hani Jochelle C. Dingoasen
- Jaenelle Maureen Baquirin

Through workshops, team activities, and shared experiences, the youth participants deepened their commitment to service, leadership, and community development. Truly, the spirit of “Youth in Action” continues to inspire transformation among our young leaders. ✨

Gangsa Validation maayos na isinagawa sa Barangay Dilag, Tabuk City

Isinagawa ngayong Mayo 13, 2026 mula 8:00am ng umaga hanggang 12:00 ng tanghali ang Gangsa Validation sa Barangay Dilag, Tabuk City bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsusulong ng maayos na pamamahala, pagkakaisa, at kaunlaran ng komunidad. Ang aktibidad ay naging daan upang mapagtibay ang matatag na ugnayan at koordinasyon ng iba’t ibang ahensya at sektor para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan.

Pinangunahan ang validation ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Civil Society Organizations (CBO), City Treasurer’s Office (CTO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO), Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), City Agriculture Office (CAO), City Health Services Office (CHSO), at City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).

Layunin ng Gangsa Validation na suriin at kilalanin ang mga programa, proyekto, at serbisyong ipinatutupad ng barangay upang masiguro ang epektibong paghahatid ng serbisyo publiko. Tinalakay rin sa aktibidad ang kahalagahan ng pagtutulungan ng bawat tanggapan at organisasyon sa pagpapaunlad ng komunidad at pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at kaligtasan sa barangay.

Ipinakita ng matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng validation ang dedikasyon ng lokal na pamahalaan at iba’t ibang ahensya sa pagbibigay ng dekalidad na serbisyo para sa mamamayan ng Barangay Dilag.

Ang salitang “Kumusta” ay hindi lamang isang simpleng pagbati, kundi isang pinto ng pakikipag-ugnayan at malasakit. Sa tuwing tinatanong natin ang isang tao ng “Kumusta?”, ipinapakita natin na may pakialam tayo sa kanilang kalagayan. Ito ay sumisimbolo ng pakikipagkapwa-tao at pagmamahal, isang paalala na hindi sila nag-iisa sa kanilang pinagdadaanan.

Ngayong Mental Health Awareness Month, mahalagang ipaalala na ang simpleng “Kumusta?” ay maaaring maging simula ng paghilom. Maaari itong magbukas ng espasyo para sa mga kwento ng lakas, o para sa mga tahimik na laban na nangangailangan ng pakikinig.

Kaya’t gawin nating mas makabuluhan ang pagbati. Huwag lamang itong maging salita, kundi maging lifeline—isang tulay ng malasakit, isang yakap ng pakikipagkapwa, at isang paalala na mayroong handang makinig at magmahal.

In line with its commitment to strengthen youth engagement and promote peace and order, the SK Dilag Council conducted a seminar under the KKDAT Program with PEMS Ford A. Wassig serving as the resource speaker.

The activity aimed to educate the youth about the importance of community involvement, crime prevention, and the role of young individuals in maintaining peace and order in their locality.

During the seminar, PEMS Wassig delivered an informative discussion focusing on youth empowerment, awareness of common community issues, and strategies to avoid involvement in illegal activities, particularly those related to drugs and violence. He emphasized the significance of discipline, responsible decision-making, and active participation in programs that promote safety and development.

The participants, composed of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students of Dilag Integrated School, actively engaged in the session and participated in an open forum where they asked questions and shared their insights.

The seminar successfully achieved its objectives by increasing awareness, encouraging positive behavior, and inspiring the youth to become responsible members of the community.

Recognizing the importance of mental health awareness among the youth, the SK Dilag Council conducted a seminar entitled “You Are Not Alone: Understanding and Supporting Mental Health” with Ma'am Michelle M. Tumbali of DOH-NDP serving as the resource speaker.

The activity aimed to raise awareness and deepen understanding of mental health among the youth, while encouraging supportive and compassionate attitudes toward individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

During the seminar, Ma'am Tumbali delivered an insightful and engaging discussion on the importance of mental health, common mental health concerns among adolescents, and ways to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional difficulties. She emphasized the value of seeking help, building support systems, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The participants, composed of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students of Dilag Integrated School, actively engaged in the session and participated in an open forum where they were able to share their thoughts and ask questions.

The seminar successfully achieved its objectives by increasing awareness, promoting empathy, and empowering the students to take care of their mental well-being and support others.

As part of its commitment to promote youth development and responsible decision-making.

The SK Dilag Council successfully conducted a seminar entitled “Dream Big, Plan Smart: Preventing Teenage Pregnancy” with Ma'am Jonna April Gaydowen serving as the resource speaker.

The activity aimed to educate and raise awareness among the youth about the causes, consequences, and prevention of teenage pregnancy, as well as to promote responsible decision-making and goal setting.

During the seminar, Ma'am Gaydowen delivered an informative and engaging discussion highlighting the importance of self-discipline, proper guidance, and making informed life choices. She emphasized the physical, emotional, social, and economic impacts of early pregnancy and encouraged participants to prioritize their education and future aspirations.

The discussion also covered practical strategies for prevention, including understanding personal values, peer influence, and the importance of seeking guidance from trusted adults and health professionals.

The participants, composed of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students of Dilag Integrated School, actively engaged in the session and participated in an open forum where they were able to ask questions and express their thoughts.

The seminar entitled “Empower Your Future: Understanding STI, HIV, and Family Planning” was successfully conducted by the SK Dilag Council on March 17, 2026 with Ma'am Janice T. Pis-ong, Public Health Nurse I, as the resource speaker.

The activity aimed to raise awareness among the youth regarding sexually transmitted infections (STIs), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and the importance of responsible family planning.

During the seminar, Ma'am Pis-ong delivered an informative and engaging discussion on the causes, modes of transmission, prevention, and treatment of common STIs and HIV, emphasizing the value of early testing, safe practices, and eliminating stigma associated with these health issues. She also discussed various family planning methods, both natural and artificial, highlighting their role in promoting responsible decision-making and reproductive health among young individuals.

The participants, composed of SK members and youth from the community, actively participated throughout the session. The seminar successfully achieved its objectives by enhancing the knowledge and awareness of the participants and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and future.
