The Kapy Bash Foundation is a non-profit organization acting to help women and children with low income or no income in rural communities.

Thousand of people suffer from different type of diseases due to poor hygiene, malnutrition, improper drinking water, and lack of accessibility to healthcare facilities. The DR. Congo has one of the highest death rates of children under the age of five (1/7 children die before they reach their 5th birthday in the Congo from Unicef report), The infant mortality rate is 1 out of every 10 births don'

t reach the age of 6 months. These statistics are a direct result of not having access to adequate healthcare facilities. Diseases such as Diarrhea, Malaria, Measles, HIV, Malnutrition accounted for 98 out of 1000 deaths. Maternal mortality rate in the Congo in childbirth is 549 deaths due to poor hygiene, little access to healthcare facilities, and giving birth at home, alone. Our goal is:
-To decrease the mortality rate in Mothers and Children
-To make a difference in the lives of the Women & Children in Democratic Republic of Congo. By empowering these women, by educating these women, they can in turn teach others.
