COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
Ibele Development Union and Organisation for United Volunteers for Humanitarian and Development Initiative Distribute Palliatives to Displaced Families.
Today, November 24th, 2025, the Governing Council of Ibele Development Union, Njaba LGA , Imo State, Nigeria led by her President General Mr Ben Nnabuo in collaboration with the Organisation for United Volunteers for Humanitarian and Development Initiative, distributed palliatives to displaced families in Obiohuru and Ndikpa areas of the community.
A Five-Man Committee, chaired by Amb. Cosmos Yahzitere Okoh, was constituted to oversee the provision of palliatives to those affected by recent security challenges. The committee members include Cmr. Ikwugbado Kennedy (Secretary), Hon. Chigozie Onuoha D**e, Mr. Jonah Okechukwu Ewurum, and Mr. Nduka Chimezie.
The committee's terms of reference include coordinating donations, maintaining records, identifying beneficiaries, supervising distribution, and rendering periodic reports.
The committee has begun distributing palliatives to many affected families, following generous donations from High Chief Chidi Osuagwu (Akuagbarananwu of Ibele) Mr. Okey Ewurum, and Arc. Casmire Ndukwu.
Responding on behalf of benefactors, Mr Onongaya Duru praised efforts of Ibele Development Union, the Committee for palliative and most importantly the generous donation from High Chief Osuagwu.
