BVC is a humanitarian and philanthropic organisation providing refuge, support, and resources to those in need in South Kivu province - DRC.

Baraka Victory Centre is a non-governmental organisation providing refuge, support, and resources to those in need in South Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our goal is to help people rebuild their lives and experience physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing after decades of war, conflict, and instability. We seek to encourage and facilitate access to educational and livelihood opportunities to our beneficiaries while promoting the development of strong character through interpersonal relationships and fostering core values. BVC is based in Baraka and works mainly with orphans, youth, widows, and individuals with disabilities to improve the quality of life within Baraka and the surrounding area. BVC is walking with many vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families in the Baraka area and offers support to those in need without discrimination and free of judgement. Orphans and Children Programs: The main focus of our support for orphans and children involves child sponsorship which includes school fees and uniforms, adequate and nutritious food, and paying for any medical appointments and services that are required. Youth Programs: Youth programming involves life skills training which educates on HIV/AIDS prevention, conflict resolution, responsible management of personal finances, and principles of moral ethics. We also provide sponsorship for higher education and microcredit loans for individuals with feasible business plans. Widows: BVC offers support for widows through microcredit loans and child sponsorship which provides widowed mothers with the means to send their children to school and ensure a better future for their families. People with Disabilities: People with disabilities can also receive support from BVC through microcredit loans and sponsorship for the pursuit of higher education in order to assist people facing challenges relating to marginalization and isolation within society. Future Plans
As BVC grows we have developed future goals to guide the organization's activities; some future objectives include the development of a farming and agricultural training centre with chickens, goats, pigs, cows, and a vegetable garden to be used to train beneficiaries and generate income. BVC would also like to run a clinic to provide direct care to those in need. And to build an orphanage and a school for children affected by the conflict. BVC wants to facilitate the growth of community in Baraka as well as build a thriving community within the BVC organization itself

Aidez-nous à transformer l’éducation des enfants/jeunes au Sud-Kivu, particulièrement dans le territoire de Fizi, où se trouve Centre Victoire Baraka.

De nombreux enfants manquent de ressources essentielles pour apprendre et développer leur potentiel. Les familles font de leur mieux, mais les difficultés économiques et le conflit dans la région rendent la situation encore plus difficile.

Centre Victoire Baraka organise actuellement une collecte de fonds en ligne pour construire un centre communautaire qui bénéficiera à toute la communauté, en particulier aux enfants et aux jeunes. Ce centre offrira un espace sûr pour apprendre, grandir et développer leurs compétences.

Malgré les défis liés à la situation sécuritaire au Nord-Kivu et au Sud-Kivu, nous gardons espoir et croyons qu’ensemble, nous pouvons faire la différence.

Depuis environ trois mois, les habitants de Baraka ont un accès très limité à Internet et aux appels téléphoniques en raison du conflit. Pour la sécurité de nos bénévoles, notre bureau reste également fermé.

Help Us Transform Education in South Kivu

Please help us improve the education system for children and youth in South Kivu, especially in Fizi Territory, where the Baraka Victory Centre is located.

Many children and young boys in our community lack the resources they need to improve their learning and build a better future. Parents are doing everything they can to support their children, but the challenges are overwhelming. While some children attend public schools where they do not pay school fees, many still lack the basic educational resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Baraka Victory Centre is currently fundraising to build a community centre where everyone can benefit, especially children and young people. The centre will provide a safe and supportive space for learning, growth, and development.

We are asking you to stand with us and help make this vision a reality by donating to our GoFundMe campaign. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a difference.

Despite all the challenges caused by the ongoing conflict in North and South Kivu and its devastating impact on education and daily life, we continue to believe that everything is possible when we come together.

It has now been about three months since people in Baraka have had reliable access to the internet or the ability to make phone calls because of the conflict in the region. For the safety of our volunteers, our office is currently closed.

En cette journée dédiée à la solidarité, le Centre Victoire Baraka lance un appel à toutes les personnes de bonne volonté afin de venir en aide à nos compatriotes qui souffrent et vivent des moments extrêmement difficiles en raison de la guerre qui sévit dans l’Est de notre pays.
Derrière chaque chiffre se trouvent des familles, des enfants, des femmes et des hommes qui ont besoin de notre compassion, de notre soutien et de notre solidarité.
À travers cette initiative, le Centre Victoire Baraka souhaite contribuer, avec l’aide de chacun, à apporter un peu d’espoir et de réconfort à ceux qui traversent cette terrible épreuve.
