Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and mother figures in our Scout community!

Today, we celebrate the women who encourage us to be brave, kind, confident, and true to ourselves every step of the way. From troop meetings and camp adventures and everyday moments of support, thank you for helping our youth grow into strong leaders.

We are grateful for all you do to inspire, guide, and cheer on the next generation. Wishing you a Mother’s Day filled with love, laughter, and appreciation!

Attention to our current members!! Scouts Canada is adjusting the renewal process for Memberships. Our program year will return to reflect the school year.

Returning Members: Your renewal window is open! This advanced window is open until May 31, 2026.

This will renew your Scouts Canada Membership from January 1, 2027 - August 31, 2027.

Your current registration is valid until December 31, 2026.

Happy International Women’s Day. Here’s to creating more space for girls and women to learn, lead, and light the way. 🌷

This International Women’s Day, we’re leaning into the 2026 theme Give To Gain. 💜✨

For over 25 years, Scouts Canada has proudly been co-ed, yet we still hear the old stereotype that Scouts is “just for boys.” The truth is that our campfire has always been bigger than that. It’s a place where girls and young women show up, try new things, learn skills, and build friendships that last long after the adventure ends. 🏕️🌲

By giving girls and young women platforms to explore their passions, they gain opportunities to be seen, heard, and celebrated. And by providing mentorship and encouragement, in welcoming, safe and inclusive spaces, they are empowered to take on leadership with confidence.

Happy International Women’s Day. Here’s to creating more space for girls and women to learn, lead, and light the way. 💐

8th Yorkton Scouts hosted Klondike Camp 2026 at Good Spirit Scout Camp February 27-March 1, 2026.

We are thankful for the groups that made the trek for a cold weekend of winter camping, hiking and winter skill adventure! Many memories were made, skills were explored and camaraderie shared.

Our hearts are with the students, families, educators, and community members in Tumbler, British Columbia who have been impacted by the tragic shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School.

There are no words that truly ease the weight of something so heartbreaking. We are holding space for those grieving, those recovering, and those trying to make sense of the unimaginable.

To the families and communities affected: you are not alone. We stand with you in sorrow, in care, and in hope for healing.

In moments like this, may we lean into kindness, look out for one another, and continue to build communities where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.

OGIES PEROGIES ARE BACK!!!
Yorkton Scouts have their own hall here in Yorkton from which they offer programs to all levels within the Scout Canada Program. Every year, the families involved in the Scout Programs offer fundraisers to ensure the sustainability of The Yorkton Scout Hall.

Ogies Perogies, second only to your Baba's, is one of the Yorkton Scout Hall Fundraisers. If you need to fill your freezer, or make your Easter prep easier ... place your orders and support the Scouts.

Orders can be placed until February 5. Delivery to Yorkton will take place mid-March. We have orders going to Yorkton, Rhein, Canora, Langenburg, Foam Lake, Melville and Saskatoon, but can likely arrange deliveries to some additional locations. (PLEASE ASK).s

In July 2026, a group of 8th Yorkton Scouts join over 150 Canadian Scouts and Scouters as we travel to Sweden Jamboree 26.

We have many gracious community partners in Yorkton and area that have helped us with an online auction.

Our auction begins December 14 at 4:00pm.
Bids increase at increments of $5.
Bidding closes on December 20 at 4:00pm.
Payment is required by December 22 at 4:00pm before moving on to the next highest bid.
