🌲 WE’RE HIRING! 🌲

Do you believe in healing that’s rooted in culture, community and the land? Come join the Community Wellness team at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre in Yellowknife!

We’re looking for 2 full-time Clinical Counsellors and Cultural Support Workers. You’ll provide trauma-informed counselling and land-based support to Indigenous youth, families and community members.

✨ Lead one-to-one and group counselling
🔥 Co-facilitate on-the-land wellness camps and healing circles alongside Elders
💚 Support su***de prevention, life promotion and substance use aftercare
🤝 Walk alongside families with our community partners

💰 $45.00/hour plus a housing allowance
📅 November 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027 (possible extension)
⏰ 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday

🌲✨Introducing the Renewed Paths Program, an on-the-land family healing program!✨🌲

Something new is coming to Yellowknife! The Tree of Peace Friendship Centre is proud to launch Renewed Paths, an on-the-land family healing initiative for families in Yellowknife and neighbouring communities. Rooted in culture and guided by care, this program supports families facing challenges with mental health, family violence, substance use, and addiction. This is healing built to change lives! 💚

🏕️ Phase One: 21 Days on the Land
November 9 to 30, 2026, at Camp Connections, guided by Indigenous Knowledge Holders, psychotherapists, and counsellors.

🥁 Phase Two: Aftercare and Follow-Up
December 2026 to March 2027 at the Tree of Peace Wellness Camp, offering ongoing support for lasting change.

📢 Intake opens October 13!
Interested families can visit the Tree of Peace Wellness Camp (behind the Multiplex) starting October 13, between 1pm and 3:30pm to have a conversation Lila Erasmus and Team, Rachel Tambour-Zoe, and the collaborative team members of the program. Referrals can also be made to [email protected].

Did you serve in the Canadian Armed Forces, the Rangers, the Reserves or the RCMP? Having a hard time navigating through the systems? You don't have to figure it out alone.

The Tree of Peace Veterans Homelessness Program has your back. We offer case management, counselling, substance use support, and real follow-ups. Families are welcome to connect with us, too!

It doesn't matter how long you served or why you left. You served, and that's enough.

💰 $74,593.50/year + $5,400 housing allowance

Canadian Armed Forces, Canadian Rangers, RCMP Veterans, and their families deserve a place where they feel supported, understood, and connected.

The Veterans Health & Wellness Program at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre provides counselling and therapy, cultural healing, family wellness, substance use support, help navigating housing and Veterans Affairs, and opportunities to connect with other Veterans.

Activities include:

🤝 Connecting with other Veterans
