‼️ An important update from NTESA.‼️ 
 
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Josh Patenaude Memorial Fundraising Dinner that was planned for August 22, 2026 has been postponed.  
 
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to joining us for this special evening. 
 
To those who purchased tickets, you will receive a full refund within 3 to 5 business days. 
 
While we are disappointed that the in-person event will not be taking place as planned our commitment to honouring Josh’s memory and raising funds for the Josh Patenaude Memorial Fund has not changed. 
 
In the meantime we will be hosting an online raffle to continue raising funds for the scholarship with more details coming soon! 
 
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, donated items, and showed their support for Josh and for this cause. Your kindness means everything to us. 💛

What an incredible day! 🙌💛 
 
Despite the rain the Yellowknife community showed up and showed out for the Play It Forward Community Showcase & Sports Day and we could not be more grateful. Seeing so many familiar and new faces come together for a day of sport, fun, and community connection reminded us exactly why we do what we do at NTESA.

Josh Patenaude was someone who showed up for people. He gave his time, his energy, and his heart to this community. This dinner is our way of honouring who he was and making sure his impact lives on.

On August 22, 2026, join us at Northern United Place for an evening of remembrance, community, and hope. The evening includes dinner, a musical performance, and a live auction. All proceeds go toward the Josh Patenaude Memorial Fund, supporting a $1,000 annual scholarship for NWT residents who have overcome hardship or those who mentor and support vulnerable youth.

🎟️ Tickets:
$40 regular ticket (dinner & entry)
$75 supporter+ ticket (dinner & entry, 1 drink ticket, +$35 to the scholarship)

This August NTESA is throwing a free community day for all of Yellowknife and everyone is invited. 🙌

We are so excited to announce the Play it Forward Community Showcase & Sports Day happening on Saturday August 15, 2026 at Mildred Hall from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and it's completely FREE!

Whether you love sports, want to discover local organizations in your community, or just want a fun day out with the family, this event is for you. Come out and enjoy:

⚽ Soccer Games

🏀 Basketball Games

🏃 Obstacle Course

🏢 Community Showcase

🍖 BBQ

The best part? It is completely free and open to everyone. All ages and all genders welcome, just show up and have fun!
