🧡 Help Support Two Row’s Next Step 🧡

We are reaching out to our community for help raising $2,860 to cover the rezoning fees for Two Row Culture & Community Centre in Woodstock.

We created Two Row because our community needs a place to come together—a place for culture, connection, learning and belonging. From our Monday Women’s Healing Circle to Friday Elder care, every gathering is an opportunity for someone to feel supported, heard and welcomed.

So much love, time and personal funding have gone into this space. I’m proud of what we’re building together, and I need help with this next step.

This fundraiser will go directly toward the $2,860 rezoning fees. Any funds raised above that goal will support our Women’s Healing Circle and Friday Elder care.

If you’re able to give $5, $20 or any amount, it would mean so much. Local businesses interested in contributing are welcome to reach out, too.

Coming up at Two Row Culture & Community Centre!

Here’s our calendar for October 18–31. Join us for connection, conversation, creativity, and time together in community!

October 19 — Coffee, snacks, and company with Becca, 6:30–8 p.m. Kelly is away for a retreat, but you’re still welcome to come spend time at the centre.

October 21 — Away at the Pride AGM.
October 23 — Away all day at the art gallery.

October 25 — Our final cleanup at Brick Lands on Springbank, starting at 10 a.m. We need lots of helping hands! Your time and support would mean so much.

October 26 — Kelly Welch returns for Women’s Sharing Circle, 6:30–8 p.m. at the centre.

Also October 26 — Two Row Youth Group at Woodstock Library, 5:30–7:30 p.m.

October 29 — Medicine wheel dreamcatcher or Minicure drum workshop, 6–8 p.m. Sign-up is required—please message us to register!

🌸 Women’s Sharing Circle Update 🌸

Kelly is back home for a retreat and won’t be joining us this Monday, October 19. We’re wishing her a restful and meaningful time away. 💕

The centre will still be open for you to spend time with Becca! Come grab a coffee and a snack, settle in, and enjoy some conversation and company at Two Row Culture & Community Centre. 🧡

Kelly will return for Women’s Sharing Circle on Monday, October 26.

This has been life for our team these last few days, and our hearts are full. 🤎

We were gifted what remained of this moose after the harvest, and we’re so thankful to those who shared it with us and made this opportunity possible.

Working together on the hide has brought hard work, patience, learning, and plenty of laughter. Everyone has had a part, and sharing this time together has made it so meaningful.

Working with our hands, connecting with our culture, and learning alongside one another truly fuels our hearts.

Grateful for this moose and all it has given, for the generosity behind this gift, and for every person sharing in the work.

We’ll keep you in the loop as we continue this journey and share what we create along the way! 🫎

Last night, Two Row Creeations was invited to attend the TMMC Global Conference Gala, and my heart is full. 🧡

Miigwetch to Toyota for the invitation and such a beautiful welcome. I deeply appreciate your support of Two Row and the meaningful relationship we are building together.

A heartfelt thank you to Myeengun for sharing such beautiful teachings, and to Scott and the Spirit Nation Drum Group for the absolutely beautiful drumming ceremony. Hearing the drum and seeing our culture honoured made me feel grounded and so proud to be Indigenous.

These moments reflect what we work toward at Two Row—bringing people together to listen, learn, and build meaningful relationships rooted in respect.

Thank you, Toyota, for welcoming Two Row Creeations with such kindness and making space for our voices, teachings, and culture. It was an honour to be part of this special evening.

🧡 Sisters in Spirit — We Remember. We Honour. We Carry Them With Us. 🧡

Yesterday, I looked around our circle and felt so much gratitude.

To each and every person who took the time to come to our Sisters in Spirit gathering, thank you. Thank you for standing beside us, for listening, for remembering, and for helping us honour our missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit relatives.

Every person who showed up helped say something important:

Our women matter.
Our girls matter.
Our Two-Spirit relatives matter.
Their lives matter.
Their stories matter.
And they will never be forgotten.

Our sisters are more than a statistic.

They are mothers. Daughters. Sisters. Aunties. Grandmothers. Cousins. Friends. Caregivers. Knowledge Keepers. Life-givers.

They are women who laughed, loved, dreamed and belonged to families and communities who continue to carry them every single day.

Some of our sisters never made it home. Some families are still waiting for answers. Some are still fighting to be heard. And far too many Indigenous families have had to carry grief that should never have been theirs to carry.

Yesterday was about making space for that grief, but it was also about love, strength, remembrance and action.

When we gather, light our candles, share our songs, bring our drums together and speak their names, we remind the world that our sisters are not forgotten.

To the families who carry this loss personally — we see you, we honour you, and we stand beside you.

And to our sisters who are no longer here:

We remember you.
We honour you.
We speak your names.
We carry you with us.
And we will continue this work for you.

Miigwetch to everyone who stood with us yesterday. 🧡

Until every Indigenous woman, girl and Two-Spirit person can live safely, our work is not finished.

❤️ Sisters in Spirit — October 4 ❤️

Tomorrow, we will gather to honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People, and hold their families and loved ones in our hearts.

Every person we remember has a name, a family, a story and a place in our communities. Their lives matter. Their families deserve answers, support and a community that continues to stand beside them.

Please join us at the Two Row Culture & Community Center for an afternoon of remembrance, love and connection.
