This week, The StoryBridge Network went to the Winnipeg Art Gallery!

🎟️The occasion : WAG Wednesday Nights

⚡️The theme: Canadian Mental Health Week

⭕️ The company: Ralph Bryant of the Love Notes Campaign and the team from Sara Riel

🤔 The lesson: humans love stories and we are all stories! Nearly everyone we talked to shared a story that told us why our name—the StoryBridge—our mission, and our approach to community storytelling resonated with them.

✔️Some did it by telling a a story of the work they do in their spaces and why what we’re doing clicks.

✔️ Some shared stories about why the work we do is so valuable and how they would like to help.

✔️ Some shared stories about ways that we can reach people and do more to connect the StoryBridge method of storytelling to individual and community mental health needs.

That’s why we love ❤️ stories!

A special thanks to the Love Notes Campaign for inviting us to be a part of this event. And a big thank you to the Winnipeg Art Gallery for giving us the space to share Love Notes and trade stories.

Ever had a community meeting or workshop go "off the rails" and didn't know how to bring it back? 🌀

It happens to the best of us. But facilitation doesn't have to feel like guesswork.

Starting May 20, we are hosting a Level 1: Trauma-Sensitive Facilitation Foundations workshop. This isn't just theory—it's about gaining the actual skills to handle real-life human moments with care and professional calm.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to:

✅ Setup for Success: Structure your space so people feel supported from the moment they walk in.

✅ Read the Room: Understand the difference between "healthy tension" and "emotional overwhelm."

✅ Respond with Care: Use specific tools to de-escalate a moment without making anyone feel "called out."

We are intentional about our numbers. To make sure we have time for real practice and dialogue, seats for this May cohort are limited.

Facilitation is about more than just a 1-to-10 scale or a feedback form. It’s about people. ✨

On May 20, we are opening a new circle for our Level 1: Trauma-Sensitive Facilitation Foundations workshop.

If your work involves bringing people together—whether in arts, social services, or neighbourhood organizing—you know that the "vibe" of a room isn't an accident. It’s built on the foundation of how safe people feel to be themselves.

In this May 20 cohort, you’ll learn:
✅ How to recognize when a participant is overwhelmed.
✅ How to respond with calm, professional care.
✅ How to structure your programs so they support, rather than stress, your community.

We are intentional about our numbers. To ensure everyone can participate fully, seats are limited. If you’ve been looking for a way to make your community programs more accessible and supportive, we’d love to see you there.

Whether you are an educator, a non-profit leader, or a community builder, our upcoming workshops are designed to give you the tools to lead with empathy and narrative power.

Can storytelling actually change how we work?

At The StoryBridge, we’ve seen it happen. From corporate boardrooms to community centers, the way we share our lived experiences dictates how we connect and grow.

Our Storytelling & Community Engagement Facilitator Certification launches this May. This series of workshops isn't just a training—it's a deep dive into culturally competent, trauma-informed, high-impact facilitation.

What if your Saturday night felt like... a bridge? 🌉

On June 6, 2026, "We Are All Stories" returns to Winnipeg.

This isn't a lecture or a typical performance. It’s an immersive evening designed to prove that the things that make us unique are exactly what bring us together. In a world that can feel increasingly divided, we are creating a space to listen, to be heard, and to see the "we" in everyone’s story.

✨ Early bird tickets are officially live. > Join us for an evening of connection that directly supports our community storytelling programs for seniors and youth.
