70 YEARS OF SALEM AND WE’RE CELEBRATING TOGETHER!!!

In 1956, a group of Mennonite churches in the Winkler area came together with a shared purpose: to make sure no one in their community would face old age without care, dignity, and a place to belong.

Seventy years later, that promise continues — one resident, one family, one staff member, one volunteer and one special connection at a time.

This November, we’re marking 70 years of Salem Home the way Salem does best: together, around a table.

This will be an evening to celebrate our history, honour the people and churches who helped make Salem what it is today, and look ahead to what comes next.

I got a visit from one of the Knights last week. How very thoughtful that they want to raise funds to support improvements to our palliative care rooms at the hospital. Please share and come out to support the BBQ on Oct 7 on Main Street just North of IGA building.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT UPDATE! Movie Night Under the Stars is moving to Tuesday, September 29!

The new date is all about making it easier for more families to join us! (And everyone is welcome!)

We hope Tuesday offers a little more flexibility with many schools closed Wednesday in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
