FILL OUT YOUR CENSUS!

The work our membership completes is closely tied with Census Data. The information collected from the supports a number of results that affect your community. Results such as how much support communities receive through provincial and federal funding, grant writing, business retention & attraction, housing, workforce, recreation to name a few.

And that doesn't even scrape the surface on so many other conversations that would be impacted.

🌾 Urban, Rural, and Northern Manitoba

Economic development is not a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
Across Manitoba—whether in urban centres, rural municipalities, Indigenous communities, or northern regions—economic developers adapt their work to reflect local priorities and opportunities. This includes supporting community, industry, tourism, innovation, workforce development, and many other areas that are important to your region or community. Manitoba’s strength lies in the diversity of its communities.

Economic developers play an important role in helping each community identify its assets, respond to its challenges, and build on what makes it unique.

This week, we recognize the dedication, adaptability, and creativity required to support economic development across such a wide range of places and circumstances.

🎉 Economic Developers Week is Here!

This week, we celebrate Economic Developers Week and the people who help Manitoba communities grow, adapt, and thrive.

Economic developers work behind the scenes—supporting local businesses, attracting investment, helping communities plan for the future, and building partnerships that create real opportunity.

The Economic Developers Association of Manitoba (EDAM) is proud to support professionals who are doing this work every day, in communities large and small across the province.

Thank you to all Manitoba’s economic developers for the impact you make—often quietly, but always meaningfully. 👏 Enjoy this flash back with Winnipeg Economic Development & Tourism Lego Video - What is Economic Development
