Thank you to everyone who walked, wheeled, wiggled, volunteered, donated, and spent time with us this weekend. I'm busy hauling in photos from across Canada and can't wait to share them all with you!

We’re wearing pink for Jade today! 💗

Jade is a Grade 1 student living with congenital CMV (cCMV), a little-known virus that can cause lifelong impacts, including hearing loss.

Today, her school community is coming together to wear pink, raise awareness, and show their support for Jade and other children affected by cCMV.

June is CMV Awareness Month! 🚨

This year's theme is .

Right now in Canada, access to congenital CMV screening can vary depending on the province a baby is born in. We're working to change that because every family deserves the same opportunity for early detection and care.

This month, help us spread awareness. Start by telling one friend what CMV is. You'd be surprised how many people have never heard of the most common congenital infection.

One conversation can make a difference.

Today marks the beginning of CMV Awareness Month 2026.

This year's theme, "Geography Should Not Decide," recognizes a reality that families affected by congenital CMV know all too well: access to screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care often depends on where a child is born.

Even here in Canada, universal newborn CMV screening exists in some provinces but not others. Around the world, the differences are even greater. For many families, geography can influence how quickly CMV is identified, what interventions are available, and ultimately, a child's outcome.

That's why CMV organizations from around the world came together to create this video and share one simple message:

Congenital CMV outcomes should not depend on geography. 🌎

Across the world, inequities in awareness, screening, diagnosis, and access to care continue to shape what happens next for too many families.

Change starts with awareness. By raising awareness worldwide, we are taking the first step toward more equitable outcomes for every child.

Every baby deserves the same start.

Montréal families, we’re looking forward to seeing you at Walk, Wheel or Wiggle! ☺️

Join us Sunday, June 7th at 9:30 am at Parc René-Lévesque for a relaxed morning of connection and community. Meet us at the picnic area, where a tent with snacks and beverages will be set up.

Come connect with other families affected by CMV and enjoy a meaningful morning together.

Saskatoon families, come walk, wheel, or wiggle with us! ☀️👣🎉💙

We’ll be soaking in the views of the South Saskatchewan River along the Meewasin Trail, with a 4 km loop ready to go and shorter options for little legs, wheels, and wiggly energy of all kinds.

Meet us at 10:00 am on June 7th for a morning made for connection, fresh air, and family fun.

Refreshments will be waiting, and we’ll have children’s characters on-site to bring a little extra magic to the day.
