Congratulations, WO Kouahai on being selected to work at the expedition centre in RMCTC! 🎉

For those who may not be aware, staff cadets earn their summer positions through a competitive process that includes training, assessments, and leadership taskings. Their hard work and dedication throughout this process determines the positions they are awarded for the summer.

I spy with my little eye… a staff cadet all the way from 2701 PPCLI! Good luck WO Kouahai!

Every November, millions of Canadians wear a poppy to honour those who served and sacrificed—from the World Wars, Afghanistan, and to modern missions around the world. 🌺

The poppy’s legacy began with John McCrae’s “In Flanders Fields”, inspiring Moina Michael and Madame E. Guerin to make it a global symbol of remembrance. Adopted in 1921 by the Royal British Legion, it became a way to both honour the fallen and support veterans.

Our cadets proudly take part in the annual Poppy Drive, helping keep this tradition of remembrance alive for future generations. 🇨🇦

Wishing Warrant Officer Evan Harriott all the best. Warrant Harriott is hanging up his uniform from the 2701 PPCLI Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corp after 4 years of outstanding dedication, leadership, and service within the Canadian Cadet Organization.

From his first day in uniform to his final parade, WO Harriott has set the standard for excellence — mentoring younger cadets, embodying the Cadet Motto “Acer Acerpori” (“As the Maple, So the Sapling”), and leading with integrity, respect, and pride.

Your commitment, discipline, and passion will leave a lasting impact on everyone in the corps. As you hang up your uniform and move on to your new adventure in the Canadian Armed Forces, know that your legacy of leadership will continue to inspire those who follow in your footsteps.

Thank you for your service, leadership, dedication, and congratulations on your enrolment in the Canadian Armed Forces 🇨🇦
