There were over 80 silent auction items donated this year, which raised $44,000 for the Foundation. That’s a 63% increase from last year’s silent auction, and Gala Committee member Vicki Zachanowich attributed this growth to the dedication of the team.

“The committee members — they’re doers,” said Vicki. “They’re not just taking space. They actively participate to support the Gala and make this event better each year.”

Vicki has volunteered in this position for four years, and she focuses on coordinating auction prizes to ensure there’s a variety of high-quality items. We can’t thank her, the rest of the committee, and our auction donors enough.

Thank you Red River Co-op for fueling our Good Neighbour Lawn Care team this summer with a $4,000 gift card donation!

Their support gives DASCHWorks participants real-life job experience while helping care for over 55 homes, building skills, confidence, and a sense of community along the way.

It also means support staff can spend more time directly with the people they support, knowing the homes they work in are cared for and the yards are always ready to be enjoyed.

Congratulations to Doug Stephen (pictured, left, at this year's Possibilities Gala) and Ash Modha on receiving the Order of Manitoba, one of our province’s highest honours.

Doug’s leadership and generosity continue to shape communities across Manitoba. Through WOW! Hospitality Concepts, and his ongoing support of DASCH and the DASCH Foundation, he is helping create opportunities and improve the lives of the people we serve.
