“As a member of the AIVA Network, Olds College of Agriculture & Technology collaborates in a unified national effort to drive innovation across Canada's agricultural landscape. Together, we can better empower producers to expand their capacity, enhance their productivity and ensure long-term environmental and economic sustainability.” – Herman Simons, Manager Applied Research Smart Ag, Olds College
This summer, AIVA will collaborate with Olds College as a Validation Hub to test and validate promising agtech. Olds College implements digital agriculture technologies to crop and livestock production to investigate solutions to evolve agriculture practices, and they have recently been trialing LI-COR chambers to monitor Nitrous Oxide emissions.
The results are still in process, but the data collected from this project in combination with all data layers from Olds College could help predict the impact of practiced changes on the carbon footprint of crop production. Read the full report: https://bit.ly/4wuJD1W
