HelpAge Canada is inviting women aged 55 and older, as well as leaders and volunteers who are part of community-based services, to share their experiences and ideas through a short survey. We want to learn more about what helps older women feel financially secure, supported, and able to thrive, and what could be improved. The survey takes about 20–25 minutes to complete. Taking part is completely voluntary, and your responses will be kept confidential. Your voice can help shape future supports and services for older women across Canada. Closing date to respond to surveys is January 31st, 2027.

💊 As we get older, our bodies can become more sensitive to medications. But how do we know when a medication is still helping—and when its potential harms may outweigh its benefits?

Join us on September 16 for the free webinar: “Taking Medications Safely as You Age: What You Need to Know”.

You’ll learn:
🔹Why we become more sensitive to the effects of medications with age
🔹When the potential harms of medications can outweigh the potential benefits
🔹Essential questions to ask your healthcare professional
🔹How patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals can work together to prevent medication-related harm

🎙️ Louise Papillon-Ferland, a member of our network’s Health Care Provider Committee will lead the session. Louise is a pharmacist with more than 20 years of experience who specializes in the care of older patients at the Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal.
