The Wiarton and District Lions Club, in partnership with Pet-Valu ,Wiarton ran a successful Dog Walk in support of the Lions Club Dog training program. This was our first year doing this in a long time and was a great day. The weather co-operated and the scenic Bluewater Park walkway was a plus. We raised almost $900.00 which is great for our first time. We hope to build on this in following years as it is a very worthwhile cause. A big thank you to Pet-Valu, the volunteers and the participants. See you next year!

Prime Minister Mark Carney says he will look into an expense program under which former governors general billed the government for more than half a million dollars last year. The program, which launched in 1979, has been shrouded in secrecy despite calls for greater transparency.

The Wiarton and District Lions Club with the Bruce Education Foundation at the Outdoor Education Centre just west of Wiarton.
A PD day event was held on Friday April 24. The weather co-operated and everyone had a good time in the outdoors with some neat activities.
