The Training Policy Committee (TPC) is seeking an inspiring Executive Director to champion our mission: “The
TPC supports capacity building initiatives that develop knowledge, capabilities and skills to enable (directly or
indirectly) the implementation of Yukon First Nations’ Final Agreements and Self-Government Agreements.”
This is a leadership role for someone who brings both vision and operational excellence, someone who can
guide day-to-day operations while advancing long-term strategies that build skills, capacity, and opportunities
across Yukon First Nations.
What You’ll Lead
• Provide strategic leadership for training, capacity development, and Agreement implementation
• Oversee YIPTT funding to ensure strong governance, accountability, and community impact
• Build and maintain relationships with Yukon First Nations governments, partners, and stakeholders
• Lead a small, dedicated team supporting Nation-driven training and development
• Manage operations, financial oversight, planning, reporting, and overall organizational health
What You Bring
• Degree in western or indigenous governance, business administration, human resources
management, or a related field
• Experience working with Indigenous governments, organizations, or community-driven initiatives
• Knowledge of the UFA, Implementation Plan, and Yukon First Nation Final Agreements
• Skill in strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational management
• Passion for Nation-driven training, capacity building, and self-determination

The TPC is dedicated to empowering Yukon First Nations to rebuild vibrant nations through training,
research and to support their self-government goals through capacity-building initiatives. Guided by our
vision to see Yukon First Nations citizens and governments achieve their self-government goals, the TPC
provides funding and champions projects that enhance community wellness, growth, and visibility. We
strive to be responsive, accountable, and collaborative, prioritizing Indigenous ways of knowing, doing,
and being in all our work.
