Because of your incredible generosity, this year’s Welland Food Drive collected 68,000 pounds of food and hygiene items — an amazing 2,000-pound increase over last year! 🎉

Your compassion ensures that individuals and families in our community have access to the essential items they need. Every can, every box, every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, organized collections, or helped spread the word: thank you for showing what community truly looks like.

Together, Welland continues to prove that we are a caring community that supports one another.

When Myles was a child, he remembers helping his dad at the Welland Food Drive as route drivers — those moments left a lasting mark on his heart. 💛 Sitting with his dad while lunch was being served at Club Richelieu Welland for all those who volunteered for the Food Drive. He remembers the conversations, the joy, and the generosity. The day was so special.

Now, things have truly come full circle. Myles has continued to give back year after year as a dedicated volunteer, and this year, he’s gone above and beyond!

Not only has Myles been a longtime supporter of the Welland Food Drive, but he and his team at Tenpine Web Design & Digital Marketing generously donated their time and talent to create our new logo and website redesign .

📢Thank you Welland for a record-breaking year - over $40,000 ❤️

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve officially surpassed $40,000 for the Welland Food Drive — an amazing milestone!

We are still weighing in the incredible amount of food donations that we recieved. Stay tuned for the results!

The fundraising campaign will remain open for another week - until November 12th. So if you haven't yet made your contribution please do so before that date.

The funds will then be distributed among the three food banks: Open Arms Mission of Welland Inc The Hope Centre and Salvation Army Welland. Each organization will use the funds to purchase food in bulk as needed to keep the shelves full for months to come!

➡️Please leave your donations outside your front door by 10 am.

Starting at 10:00 am, hundreds of volunteers will be driving through the streets of Welland to collect bags and boxes of non-perishable food items that people have left on their front porch.

The Welland Food Drive is not just about collecting food—it’s a powerful example of community spirit and collective action to ensure no one goes hungry in our city.
