UNICEF Laurier is selling Waterloo’s finest - Sweet Lou’s Cookies and custom Valentine’s Day cards THIS TUESDAY! All proceeds will be going towards UNICEF’s Türkiye Syria Earthquake Fund - so enjoy a sweet treat for a great cause!

INTRODUCING…. UNICEF Laurier’s FIRST IN PERSON EVENT‼️‼️

SIGN UP NOW in our bio & join us at Wilf’s on Thursday, October 27th to play TRIVIA and eat some free Wilf’s! The winner of trivia night will win a Laurier Champion hoodie of their choice!!

A minimum of $2 will be collected at the door as a donation towards UNICEF’s Pakistan Floods Relief efforts.

A third of Pakistan is underwater. Heavy monsoon rains and floods have washed away villages – displacing millions – and destroyed critical infrastructure, including houses, roads, bridges and schools. 1,000 people – a third of them children – have been killed since June.

Despite the challenges to access parts of the country affected by the floods, UNICEF’s work for children and their families in Pakistan continues. UNICEF is working to reach as many impacted families as quickly as possible.

After only one month of war in Ukraine, 4.3 million children have been displaced, which is more than half of the country’s estimated 7.5 million child population. This includes more than 1.8 million children who have crossed into neighbouring countries as refugees and 2.5 million who are now internally displaced inside Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine is posing as a large humanitarian threat, affecting health care, education, safe drinking water, and more.
