Celebrating International Trails Day on the Alberta's Iron Horse Trail! 🌲
Today, we celebrate the trails that connect our communities, encourage outdoor recreation, and help showcase the beauty of rural Alberta.
This week, members of the Warspite Foundation were proud to lend a hand in the 25K IHTrail Trees Project, helping plant seedlings along sections of the Iron Horse Trail. This initiative is part of a larger vision to enhance and restore the trail corridor, creating a healthier and more welcoming environment for future generations to enjoy.
The project is now entering an exciting stage with the spring planting of approximately 1,200 seedlings, including berry shrubs, marking the first important step toward this year’s goal of planting 5,400 trees and shrubs along the whole trail.
Every tree planted today helps create a stronger, greener trail for tomorrow. Happy Trails Day from the Warspite Foundation! 🌱
