Dear FolkWest supporters,
Given the insurmountable nature of the debt that the Lower Island FolkFest Society has accrued over the two wonderful annual festivals we presented, the board has decided that while the dream of a world class folk festival in Victoria is one that we cherish, we will not be the organization to realize it. It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that it is our inten

tion to allow the Lower Island FolkFest Society to dissolve. The organization is committed to holding a limited number of fundraising events to assist our creditors before we part ways and get on with our lives. Stay tuned to these channels for information on these events, and thank-you all for the love and understanding on this sad occasion.
