Project Linus Canada Okanagan Valley, BC

Project Linus Canada Okanagan Valley, BC Project Linus Canada is a non profit organization that supplies handmade blankets to emergency personnel to give to children in stressful situations.

Newly formed in the Okanagan Valley but founded in the US in 1995 by Karen Loucks-Baker, Project Linus was born out of the idea that children find comfort in a special blanket. Project Linus Canada came into existence in 1998 and with the newest chapter covering the Okanagan Valley from Enderby to Oosoyoos, BC, there are 45 chapters across Canada. Project Linus provides blankets to children going

through various stressful situations - the loss of a family member, losing their home to fire, battling cancer or other serious diseases. There are so many reasons children may need to find comfort and we believe a special blanket might help even a little bit. Project Linus Canada is 100% run by volunteers. All blankets are handmade with love from new materials.
