It is with great pleasure and excitement that Paradigm Promotions presents our annual “ILLICET Event” in support of Mauro Orrico in the Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital. Amazingly, Friday June 1st 2012, willl mark the 4th year that Paradigm is hosting the event and believes that the event is slated to sell out. Paradigm Promotions, who specialize in creating innovat
ive custom events, are excited to support the ride again, as all the money raised by participants will go directly to the Campbell Family Institute at the Princess Margaret Hospital, who pledges to conquer cancer within our lifetime! Each participant agrees to raise a minimum of $2,500 in order to participate, although many set personal goals much higher than this. In the last few years, Paradigm raised funds in excess of $9,000 for the cause and strives to surpass the $4,000 mark this time around. Mauro first registered for the ride as homage to his deceased grandfather Emilio Baldussi, who died of stomach cancer almost 18 years ago. The most unfortunate detail of this event is that the institute now possesses the technology to defend against this species of cancer. It is the hope of helping others suffer less, and the loss of his grandmother Maria Baldussi that has renewed his will to make a difference. The intense feelings of altruism and compassion have lead him to renew his pledge to raise funds for the institute and have spurred on his desire to increase the size of the event!
