“Happy Little Accident”

What if you could check a person out of a library the same way you check out a book and instead of reading their story, you could borrow their perspective, ask for advice or learn something from them? “Happy Little Accident” is a dark dramedy about addiction and recovery. But at its heart, it asks this question: What if helping someone take their first step forces you to confront your own sobriety?

We Recover Together - Community Meeting Survey https://forms.gle/DQ3wwABoA1PyTAvs9

The Recovered Arts Film & Theatre Collective is proud to offer "We Recover Together," all-inclusive peer addiction recovery support meetings specifically designed for those within British Columbia's film and theatre communities. We are not outsiders; we are in recovery, work in the entertainment industry ourselves, and understand.

These peer-led groups provide a safe, stigma-free, and non-judgmental space for individuals at any stage of their journey who are looking to explore and change their relationship with substances.

Through these meetings, members can engage in open discussions regarding various recovery topics, share their personal experiences, and benefit from a community of mutual support. Most importantly, you will meet others from sets and stages who can relate.

We are working with local unions, and all independent members of the film and television community are also welcome.

In order to help with the busy schedules of entertainment folks, we are looking for your input on the best time to hold the meetings.

We are also looking for a location that is central and accessible to everyone.

The main meeting style will be a structured, peer-led gathering where individuals will come together to offer mutual support, share their experiences, and work toward healing. These meetings are free and strictly confidential. We strictly adhere to the principle of anonymity: who you see here and what is said here, stays here.

We look forward to your input—please fill out our Google Form survey here:

This will also create a mailing list so we can keep you up to date with our progress.
