Together We Can is excited to announce our annual TWC Street Reach Project End of Season Event in collaboration with and Vancity OPS on June 3rd.

We are currently inviting mental health organizations, outreach teams, treatment providers, and community partners to join us for a day focused on connection, support, and community care.

If your organization is interested in participating, setting up a table, or volunteering at the event, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to us for more information. Together, we can continue building stronger support systems for those in our community who need it most.

The Recovered Arts Collective is currently seeking individuals in the fields of film, television, and theatre arts with lived experience of addiction and/or a passion for supporting addiction recovery initiatives to form its first board of directors.
Are you looking for a unique leadership opportunity? Have you been yearning to put your talent in strategic thinking, fundraising, or project management in the service of supporting artistic addiction recovery in the community?
The Recovered Arts Collective is currently seeking individuals in the fields of film, television and theatre arts with lived experience of addiction, to form our first board of directors. We are strongly open to creating a diverse board of directors with peoples from all communities including IBPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ and women.

-Programming Chair
-Fundraising Chair
-Communications
-Internet Technology
-Directors at Large

The elected Board members of The Recovered Arts Collective will be a voluntary group of leaders who serve the addiction recovery community. The Board jointly oversees the activities of the organization, supports its membership, and oversees the creation and implementation of the strategic plan.
Board members should be available for a 1-2 hour evening meeting every 1st Sunday of the month. Additional hours are required for committee work.

We are looking for and hoping to find committed Board candidates who possess the following professional training and expertise or lived experience in areas such as:

-Fundraising and capital campaigns
-Finance and banking
-Legal expertise in areas of liability, non-profit governance or labour relations
-Web and information systems development and utilization
-Marketing industry for fundraising and organizational promotion
-Social media communications and promotion
-Leadership and critical thinking skills
-Ability to work effectively as part of a group or team​

Previous volunteer board experience is a plus, but not a strict requirement.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Recovery Day BC is set for Saturday, September 12th, 2026, in the My Uptown New West neighbourhood of the City of New Westminster, last year 50,000 attendees enjoyed a day full of music, food, health information, and raising awareness during the world's largest mental health and addiction recovery event of its kind.
