The Albanian Canadian Law Enforcement Association (ACLEA) extends its deepest condolences to the members of the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal following the tragic loss of one officer and the critical injury of another in the line of duty.

We also extend our thoughts and support to the members of the RCMP in Melville, Saskatchewan, where two officers were injured while serving their community.

These incidents serve as a solemn reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face each day in service to others. Behind every badge is a family, a team, and a community that shares in both the sacrifices and the burdens of this profession.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and membership, we stand in solidarity with our policing partners across Canada. We mourn with those who grieve, support those who are recovering, and honour the commitment of all who continue to serve.

Arlind has always demonstrated professionalism, courage, and dedication to serving his community. Today, we ask our members and supporters to keep him and his family in their thoughts as he focuses on recovery.

Incidents such as this serve as a reminder that policing is an inherently dangerous profession. Every day, law enforcement officers willingly place themselves in harm’s way to protect others, often putting the safety and well-being of their communities ahead of their own. It is a responsibility they carry with pride, courage, and unwavering commitment.
