We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the reported attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. Violence directed at places of worship, learning and gathering is never acceptable.

We unequivocally condemn this act. Regardless of differences in political views or perspectives within and between our communities, the targeting of civilians is abhorrent and must be rejected without qualification.

As an organization committed to justice, dignity, and the safety of all communities, we believe that the safety of one community is inseparable from the safety of others. When any group is threatened or harmed, it weakens the fabric of safety for everyone.

We extend our solidarity to the members of the Islamic Center of San Diego and the broader Muslim community. You are not alone, and we share in your grief and concern.

We remain committed to fostering respect, understanding, and safety across all communities.
