It's official: I've been elected Local Representative to the BCTF.
I'm genuinely honoured by the trust placed in me. This role means attending BCTF Representative Assemblies, the BCTF AGM, and bringing Surrey teachers' voices - including those of Special Education teachers who have been underrepresented for too long - to the provincial table.
Thank you to everyone who voted, shared the website, and had conversations with colleagues. Democratic process isn't easy. You showed up anyway.
The work continues.

School reps should leave every conversation with me better equipped than when they arrived. Not just representation -- multiplication. Activate more reps. Build more capacity. Make the union stronger from the school level up.
