We are changing gears! Our year round ensemble is now going to be from January to June! Start the year off with a bang and some make some music with us! ☺️

What’s with the change you might ask?? Well, unfortunately we haven’t received as much registration as we originally projected, and we have made the decision to postpone the ensemble until January 2027. We understand that there are many students whose schedules are not solidified at the beginning of the school year, making enrolling and committing time to our ensemble difficult immediately in September.

Having said that, we are committed to making music with you and hope to see you in January! We will have more details so keep in touch to hear about the updates! Thank you again everyone for your support! Can’t wait to see you in January!

Here’s a clip of what we did during camp!

In Cajun folks songs by Frank Ticheli, there was a many metre changes almost other measure and sometime every measure. In order to get the sense of the time change, we took the music out of the seats and asked all the students to jump on beat one! The more we did it, the better the students understood and got the feel of the metre changes.

This helped with getting everyone out of their seats and understanding the time metre changes!
