The Periodic Table: A Map of Everything!

Imagine if you had a recipe book for everything in the universe! That’s kind of what the periodic table is. 🔍🍰

Since Dmitri Mendeleev first created it, scientists have discovered 118 elements! It helps scientists understand how these tiny particles come together to form everything from water 🌧️ to stars! 🌟

Horizontal rows are called periods. All elements in a period have the same number of electron shells in their atoms. Vertical columns are called groups. They have the same number of outer electrons, which help them bond with other elements and form all the things we see and use. 🔍
