BC Based artists can apply to perform at our curated showcase in Toronto for industry professionals during the Women In Music Global Summit. Selected artists will receive travel honorariums, passes to the summit (which includes access to panels, workshops and networking opportunities), tickets to the Women In Music Canada Honour Awards, and attend one on one meetings with industry delegates in addition to performing at the showcase.

Note, participation in the summit is mandatory for those selected, therefore applicants must be available to be in Toronto from March 2-5, 2026.

Well we sure had ourselves a fantastic gathering at the WIMBC Junos Mixer on Tuesday. Thanks to all who came out and made connections...and while more of an industry event than our usual social club, the feeling in the room was fantastic, friendly and forward thinking. Can't wait for the next Social Club gathering (stay tuned for a date on that). And not to be a broken record - ok I don't mind at all - here in Vancouver we have a By-Celection in progress to choose 2 city councillors and we really should leave it to chance. While only 36% of registered voters cast a ballot in 22 to elect Ken Sim (ABC), it was more like only 11% of eligible voters. and in the end, every single candidate ABC Vancouver ran was elected. So....

One of the two advance voting days has already passed, but this Tue Apr 1st (at City Hall) is your chance, or on voting day Sat Aprl 5. - at any voting place, not just your own hood. Dont need to be registered in advance, can do so at time of voting. Bring 2 pieces of ID. Eligible if a Canadian citizen who has lived in BC for last 6 months. Remember, when you don't like the options in big elections..they are often chosen and encourage/discouraged in the smaller elections. So lets do this! - CVM

Last night's WIMBC fall social was a delicious hang! Everyone was super pooped and over-scheduled, and yet found ourselves energized by all the connection, shared info, and incredible talent on our wee stage. Felt really good.
