Nic is the Manager of the Surrey Local Immigration Partnership (LIP), where he leads a collective of over 35 organizations working to build a more inclusive and welcoming city for newcomers, refugees, and long-time residents. His work focuses on advancing employment equity, improving service accessibility, and supporting system-wide collaboration across Surrey.
An SFU International Studies graduate (Class of 2019), Nic began his career with Mission Possible in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, supporting individuals facing barriers to employment. He later worked with the YMCA BC and DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society, leading employment and skills training programs for diverse and multi-barrier communities.
During his time at SFU, Nic completed co-op placements with the Consulate General of Mexico, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, and Schools Building Schools in Uganda. He also served as ISSA President and published his award-winning honours thesis on South American identity during the pink-tide movement.
