A heartfelt thank you to blind storyteller, author, and advocate Anne Mok (purposeinview) for joining us this week on Almost Live for a deeply engaging writers talk and live reading of excerpts from her book Resilience and Purpose.

Anne shared thoughtful reflections on identity, chronic illness, vision loss, creativity, and belonging — offering audiences an intimate and powerful conversation that stayed with us long after the event ended.

If you missed the live session, you can now watch the recording on YouTube and experience the conversation for yourself.

We also encourage you to support Anne’s work by checking out her book and following her ongoing creative journey. She is in the process of recording an audiobook version of Resilience and Purpose, which will be available in the Fall.

Thank you again, Anne, for your generosity, honesty, and artistry. It was an honour to have you with us.

No Almost Live tonight (we take the first Wednesday of each month off) but it’s the perfect opportunity to catch up on last week’s fascinating conversation with Christine Malec, podcast host, writer and storyteller, musician and member of Toronto’s Blind community.

Christine joined host Amy Amantea to share stories from a recent research trip through Vienna and Paris, exploring the lives of two celebrated 18th-century Blind musicians: flutist Friedrich Dulon and pianist and singer Maria Theresia von Paradis.

Huge thanks to Christine for bringing such rich storytelling, history, humour, and insight to the conversation.
