Fostering connection and community spirit this 🌈

We’re proud to support the Trans Specialty Care (TSC) Program, which offers specialized gender affirming medical care for transgender and gender-diverse people living in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.

Donor support has helped fund several TSC community gatherings, including annual pride picnics and a spring soireé. These events have become highlights for the community, with some participants describing them as “life-changing” opportunities to connect and feel seen in a supportive environment.

We are grateful to our partners at TSC for creating a safe and supportive space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and the donors who help make it possible.

No one should have to navigate a lung cancer diagnosis alone. Fuelled by donor support to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Nurse Navigators like Alexia are providing lung cancer patients with unwavering support through every step of their surgical journey 💚

Since launching as a pilot program in 2022, the Lung Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP) at VGH has expanded significantly, now encompassing two dedicated Nurse Navigators, a grant-funded research study evaluating program outcomes, and a digital patient engagement platform.
