Today we had the joy of recognizing three of our wonderful Elk Valley Better at Home volunteers based out of Sparwood. They deserve to know just how much their contributions mean to the seniors they serve. These incredible individuals give their time and compassion to help older adults live independently in the homes they love, and we are endlessly grateful for their dedication. The Elk Valley has always looked after its own. 💛 Our seniors built this community - the least we can do is make sure they can stay in it, comfortably and independently. Better at Home is a program founded by that connects volunteers with seniors who need non-medical support such as friendly visits, grocery runs, prescription pick-up, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments. 🧹💛 We’re Hiring — Housekeeper | Elk Valley Better at Home.

We’re looking for a caring, reliable Housekeeper to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of seniors across the Elk Valley. This isn’t just a cleaning job, it’s a chance to help older adults live safely and independently in the homes they love, with dignity and comfort. If you take pride in your work, have a heart for community, and want a role that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you. This is a part-time permanent position (20 hrs/week) at $21.72/hr with extended health benefits, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and mileage reimbursement. A valid BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required.
