A little reminder (recommendation) from DNV Recommendations going forward

Property owners at the crest of slopes are advised to direct stormwater away from slope edges, avoid dumping yard waste over the escarpment, and have a professional assess any changes to retaining walls, pools, structures or trees nearby. BGC’s field work found lawn clippings, garden debris and saturated fill dumped at escarpment crests, material that can destabilize slopes.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY HASTINGS CREEK Hello everyone,

We are going to try to do trapping for coho fry in Hastings Creek/ Hunter Park this coming Friday and Saturday, June 12th and 13th. For those interested, we will meet at the usual spot on Chaucer Rd. off Fromme Rd. in Lynn Valley. The plan is to set the traps at 6:00 PM on Friday and collect them at 10:00 AM Saturday morning.
There isn't really much of a need for many people to set the traps on Friday ( but you are all certainly welcome) . The fun is on Saturday with the anticipation of hopefully seeing a few coho fry which would indicate some successful spawning in the creek this past fall.

I hope everyone is doing well and maybe see you this weekend.
