😀 Thank you to Ellie and her friends Eve and Grace, and little brother Wyatt, for running their charity lemonade stand for the fifth year in a row! 🍋 Held over Labour Day weekend, the young philanthropists said this year was their busiest yet! We’re so grateful for their continued efforts and for everyone who stopped by to enjoy a lemonade and show their support. 🥰

The funds raised this year were shared between PRHC Foundation and the Peterborough Humane Society. Thank you, Ellie and friends, for your generosity and for being such wonderful community supporters! 🙌

💗 During this week of Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that one of the greatest joys of philanthropy is that the impact of a donation lives on, long after the gift is made.

🤝 For more than 40 years, John and Glenda Lavery built a life rooted in family, community and giving back. Today, Glenda’s legacy continues at PRHC, where a generous gift in her memory from KADEX Aero Supply is helping support the future of surgical care. 🏥 An operating room now bears her name, a lasting tribute to the life she shared with John, their family and the community they loved.

✨ Today is DAF Day! A day to celebrate the generosity of Canadians and the many ways charitable giving helps strengthen our communities. 🎉

❓️ Did you know that Canadians have used donor-advised funds (DAFs) to set aside more than $17 billion for charity? 😀 That’s an incredible impact that many people aren’t aware of. DAF Day hopes to change that – shining a light on a lesser-known way to make a difference through philanthropy.

A DAF is a simple way to put charitable dollars you’ve already set aside to work. 💝 We’re grateful to DAF donors who have chosen to give to the PRHC Foundation – thank you for helping to fund state-of-the-art technology, equipment and innovation at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
