Our team from the 'Employ! Youth Employment Program' were thrilled to join more the 3nd annual 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

This conference, hosted by the Okanagan Indian Band Youth Leadership Council, brought together young leaders (ages 14-25) to focus on critical community issues through the lenses of prevention, education, and cultural respect.

Connecting with the next generation is crucial.

Our Employ! program offers training, work experience, and personalized support to help North Okanagan youth transition into meaningful employment and build a strong future.

Happy Small Business Week! 💼📈

It's a big week for small businesses and entrepreneurs in our community.

First up, we're excited to share that Community Futures has partnered with the Enderby & District Chamber of Commerce to gather input from members through a Business Survey.

This feedback will help demonstrate community need, guide program development, and strengthen investment in local business support.

Participation from local Enderby businesses and Chamber members directly impacts the ongoing Business Initiative Project.

We're excited to be part of the Business Walks happening next week during !

This annual check-in with local businesses helps inform our workshop programming, advising services and outreach efforts.

Looking forward to building connections on October 20th 🚶

In recognition of Small Business Week, the City of Vernon and community partners will be out visiting businesses across the community on Tuesday, October 20 as a part of the annual Business Walks program. 💼 🚶

These business walks offer brief, 5-to-10-minute check-ins with local business owners and managers to gather feedback and learn about current challenges and opportunities, while identifying ways local organizations can provide support.

The City appreciates the time and perspectives shared by participating businesses and looks forward to continuing to strengthen Vernon’s business community through collaboration and engagement.

In this role, you will help shape our voice, elevate our regional presence, and connect local entrepreneurs and residents with the resources they need to thrive.

- A solid understanding and demonstrated experience delivering successful marketing programs, strategic communications, events, and community promotions.

- Hands-on proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing workflows.

- Strong familiarity with leading social media platforms and best practices.

- Practical skill with basic graphic design tools to craft clean, engaging visual assets.
