Join us on Saturday, September 26th, at 7:30 pm to begin our 2026-2027 season with Il Gioco Della Cieca, featuring the ensemble Concerto di Margherita! Five musicians will blend their voices and historical instruments—lutes, guitars, harp, and viola da gamba— into a kaleidoscopic sound world!

Founded in 2014 in Basel, the ensemble revives self-accompanied singing, emulating the late-1500s Concerto delle donne group under Margherita Gonzaga. Supported by Eeemerging and the REMA network, they perform across Europe and toured Colombia in 2021. Their 2022 debut album, Il gioco della cieca, received top reviews and was broadcast across Europe. Through constant research and experimentation, the ensemble brings new life to the European Renaissance repertoire. Drawing on masterpieces by Monteverdi, Wert, and Gastoldi, Concerto di Margherita offers ravishing arrangements that restore a long-lost musical practice!

Spend an afternoon immersed in the evocative sounds of early Italian Baroque music at Scorrete lagrime mie!

Trombonist Maximilien Brisson, with harpsichordist Christophe Gauthier, organist Luc Beauséjour, and guest soprano Hannah Pagenkopf, will present a programme including works by Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini, Sigismondo d'India, and Giovanni Battista.
This programme explores the connection between voice and instrument, both through their interaction and in the solo exploration of an instrument's capacity to evoke qualities of the voice, exemplified by the sackbut, the early form of the trombone.
