What happens when skilled talent meets a real-world industry challenge?

With support from Mitacs, Detect Technologies is working with more than 20 Nova Scotia Community College interns on a two-year project to strengthen its province-wide inventory of Nova Scotia’s power distribution system. The interns are supporting data analysis, improving automation, and advancing AI-driven analytics to make large-scale utility projects faster, smarter, and more effective.

This collaboration is one of the stories featured in our Mitacs & Canada’s College Sector publication, showcasing how partnerships with colleges, institutes, polytechnics, and CEGEPs connect skilled talent with organizations and translate applied research into real-world impact.
