Where does one even begin to express the depth of gratitude we feel?
The support behind the MMIP Spirit Ride 2025 was nothing short of extraordinary, hosted in Treaty Territory #7 with good intention under the guiding principles of our Seven Sacred Teachings - Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, Truth - we gathered with a shared purpose: to raise awareness and honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People while providing a safe space for conversation and healing.
Our 2nd Annual Event welcomed 132 pre-registered riders and 14 honorary guests. The feedback has been powerful, confirming we met our goal of creating visibility and impact. We did this in an unexpected manner, Mother Nature or the Creator, whichever term you choose to acknowledge, had a different plan for us; we were gifted with all four seasons in a single day. We adapted, and this determined, compassionate group of riders “caged up” we shared laughter and tears, beautiful scenery, meals, and some even managed to squeeze in a snowball fight…welcome to the incredible north!
It takes a village to host an event; we send out a heartfelt thank you to every person who attended and volunteered. We couldn't have done it without you. Special shout-out to Steve and Vanessa, Yellow Old Woman, and Robby Sidhu; your time, energy, and encouragement are appreciated.
Thank you to our sponsors and partners, whose generosity and presence helped bring the ride to life:
Indian Motorcycle, Northpine Foundation,Ryde Financial Ltd, Goodstoney Nakoda Nation,Medicine Wheel Ride,Revival Powersports,Indian Motorcycle of Calgary, Not Solo, Boundary Ranch, Copy Repro and Grey Eagle Resort.
Together we gathered in honour of the spirits no longer walking with us and those still missing. We will continue to hold space for voices not yet heard and we will stand strong side by side; you are not alone.
We anticipate this year's donation to https://www.aboriginalalert.ca/ will match the $10 000 raised in 2024 and we are excited to announce the 3rd Annual MMIP Spirit Ride is tentatively set for Saturday, June 27th, 2026 save the date!
We see you. We hear you. We are here with you.
