Today, on Red Dress Day, members of the CAPT Board of Directors — (left to right) Lyona Lunter, Sheena Deane, and Angela Martin‑Dallon — stand in solidarity wearing their Red Dress Day shirts, designed exclusively for the IPPC community by the Indigenous‑owned .

The red dress is a powerful symbol to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two‑Spirit (MMIWG2S) people. Our shirts feature the message, “We will speak for the silenced,” and reflect our commitment to remembrance, advocacy, and systemic change.

By wearing our red shirts today, we honour the lives lost, support families and survivors, and reaffirm our responsibility to create safer, more compassionate healthcare spaces for Indigenous peoples. 🟥

Immunization changed the course of public health. Today, those gains are supported by healthcare teams across the country, including pharmacy professionals who play a critical role in immunization services, patient education, and vaccine access.

As representatives of pharmacy technicians working to scope in immunization processes, CAPT recognizes the important contributions of these technicians who support safe, efficient, and accessible immunization delivery in communities nationwide.

During , we are reflecting on how far we’ve come, and the essential role pharmacy teams continue to play in protecting Canadians across the lifespan.

Myth‑Busting Monday – National Immunization Awareness Week

One common misconception is that immunization is only important in childhood. In reality, adults remain vulnerable to vaccine‑preventable diseases and protection can wane over time.

Together with the Adult Vaccine Alliance (AVA), CAPT is sharing resources to evidence‑based information to support vaccine confidence and informed decision‑making.

🎧 Healthcare professionals can explore AVA’s Immunization Matters Podcast Series for timely, practical conversations on adult immunization.
