Courage, care, and the power of women guarding women.

Joanne Burton, a 30+ year HSN team member, is an 18-year breast cancer survivor. Thanks to early detection, the expertise of Dr. Brulé, and the support of her guardian angel Sam, Joanne’s life was saved. Today, she’s a proud advocate for screening and early detection.

In honour of her journey, the Burton Family Foundation donated $5,000 to the HSN Foundation. Their gift supports the donor-funded MOLLI localization system, helping make breast cancer procedures less invasive and recovery faster—bringing hope and advanced care close to home.

💙🌟 Community Champions for the HSN Foundation 🌟💙

A massive THANK YOU to all our incredible donors supporting the HSN Foundation recently:

💃Envy Dance Challenge donated $3,000 to HSN Foundation through their love of dance! Funds were raised through registrations for their one-day dance convention, held on July 26 at Science North in Sudbury, in support of healthcare excellence at HSN.

🩷On July 30 the Think Pink Golf Tournament at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club raised an incredible $17,726 in support of cancer care. This annual all-ladies golf tournament brings the community together for a fun day on the course, inspiring hope, and making a meaningful difference for patients receiving care at the Shirley and Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Centre. Thank you to the entire Think Pink Committee and supporters for their commitment to this wonderful event and for providing the highest level of cancer care at HSN.

⛳Magna Mining hosted a golf tournament on August 15 in support of mental health care at HSN, raising $7,530! Through the generosity of their team, golfers and supporters, funds raised will help support mental health care for patients across Northeastern Ontario.

🍔Toromont Cat Sudbury raised $8,345 in support of pediatric care at HSN this year! Their dedicated team came together through a variety of staff fundraisers, including Plinko, a parking lot draw and their charity BBQ. A huge thank you to the entire Toromont Cat Sudbury team for their continued dedication and generosity in supporting our youngest patients and their families!

Every dollar and every effort fuels hope, healing, and brighter futures for our patients across Northeastern Ontario. Thank you for making a real difference!
