IBEW Canada continues to support the nearly 300 members of IBEW System Council No. 11 as they seek a fair collective agreement with CPKC.

As this dispute enters its second week, our members remain available to bargain. IBEW Canada continues to stand with these skilled railway professionals and supports efforts to resolve this dispute through meaningful collective bargaining.

La FIOE Canada continue d’appuyer les quelque 300 membres du Conseil de réseau no 11 de la FIOE dans leur démarche visant à obtenir une convention collective juste et équitable avec le CPKC.

Malgré la poursuite du conflit de travail pour une deuxième semaine consécutive, nos membres demeurent disponibles pour négocier. La FIOE Canada demeure solidaire de ces professionnelles et professionnels hautement qualifiés du secteur ferroviaire et appuie les efforts visant à régler ce différend par le biais d’une négociation collective sérieuse et constructive.

✊ Solidarity with our nearly 300 IBEW brothers and sisters employed by CPKC rail who have entered their second week of legal strike action. The members of IBEW System Council No. 11 delivered a strong strike mandate after months of negotiations failed to produce meaningful progress on key issues.

Today, IBEW Canada's IVP Russ Shewchuk and International Rep. Chris Taran joined our brothers and sisters on the picket line as they continue their fight for a fair collective agreement at CPKC.

CPKC is one of North America's largest rail carriers, with considerable operational, legal, and financial resources at its disposal. The company is well-positioned to participate fully in both the bargaining process and any related proceedings. We are hopeful that capacity will be directed toward resolving the issues that led to this dispute and supporting a timely return to meaningful negotiations.

IBEW Canada stands in solidarity with these members and their right to meaningful collective bargaining.
